Gwaredu BVD are pleased to share that the BVD consultation summary and Welsh Government response to the summary has been published. The public consultation took place through July and August 2022 and received over 100 responses from across the industry.

81% of respondents agreed that legislation requiring mandatory BVD screening was necessary to achieve BVD freedom in Wales.

Gwaredu BVD recommends that the whole industry continues to test their herds to be best prepared for potential legislation and to retain the gains made in eradicating BVD from Wales.
